  Where to start.... sat down to enjoy a nice Mother's Day only to find dead bugs spread all over our table and napkins and music that is so loud that I couldn't even hear myself think. We waited half an hour for someone to come to our table to at least take our drink order because apparently there is table service but nobody came. Went to the pay station to attempt to order food only to be told that someone would come to us and sent us back to our table. 10 minutes pass and still no one turned up so again went to the pay station where we were now allowed to finally order our food. Was told after ordering food that they would be right over to take our drink order...... what lies! A further 10 minutes pass whilst we watch people who have arrived after us receive table service and are served their drinks. Finally our table is approached and our drink order is taken! I never knew that it could be so hard and take so long to pour a couple of glasses of wine, coke and make a coffee... must be rocket science considering its has taken 15 minutes and we still have not received them, so again up we get to go to the bar to find that our drink order hasn't even been given to the bar staff. Yes they are busy but when everyone else has drinks and we are still waiting you would think that there would be some sort of preference as to who was served next and some sort of set flow as to how the business operates but clearly not! There seems to be a lot of staff working but nothing seems to be getting done. It's now been 20 minutes since ordering drinks and we finally have them brought to our table, we are then approached by 2 waitresses carrying plates of food and asking us if we are table 10.... there are no numbers on the table so how are we to know, I thought that was their job! So off they walk to ask someone else and come back a few minutes later to serve us our food, or what they would call food. My "medium rare sirloin steak" needed a chainsaw to cut through and was laying in a pool of what does not pass as a creamy garlic sauce. I would have been better off eating a leather jacket. It was over cooked in some areas and under cooked in others and not to mention it is cold! The red chicken breast curry was half a chicken on top of a mountain of rice, some veggies and sauce. Having to pull your own chicken off the bone to attempt to mix it with the veggies and sauce was near impossible with the chicken carcass in the way and no where to put it. The "seafood basket" was one of many from around the room that got sent back which is quite pathetic considering the restaurant is on the Macleay river in a coastal town. For the price they are charging they should be utterly ashamed of themselves especially with a service that is non-existent and a person who is 'sort-of trying' to manage a restaurant. I would never recommend anyone to come to this restaurant! Should have just stayed at home or gone to maccas, would have received better service there!

  Change of chef & staff. Service improved out of sight. Food great. Well worth the revisit.
